Job SummaryThe Healthy Living Program (HLP) seeks a Temporary Health Educator Lead to coordinate health promotion initiatives, supervise student health educators, and support program development and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of Student Health Educators.
- Assist in developing health promotion programs, identifying needs, campaigns, action plans, and creating curricula, trainings, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate and conduct outreach activities, events, presentations, and workshops for the university community.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion and risk reduction events and programs.
- Conduct presentations and workshops on topics such as stress and time management, sleep hygiene, sexual health, alcohol and drug use, and tobacco/nicotine education.
- Provide individual consultations on stress management, time management, sexual health, tobacco cessation, asthma, allergies, sleep hygiene, nutrition, and substance use; document outcomes in the medical record.
- Perform needs assessments, analyze programmatic and research data, and support dissemination and evaluation of institutional and national surveys.
- Maintain program inventory, monitor use, and update records.
- Train and supervise volunteers, interns, and student staff; recruit and retain student volunteers.
- Develop health promotion campaigns and marketing materials such as event flyers, brochures, videos.
- Document work performed, participant data, and evaluation summaries; submit reports.
- Provide clerical and administrative support including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing paperwork, and form processing.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years of office or related experience providing administrative support or coordinating functions of an office or department.
- Experience conducting health education/promotion programs in a university setting.
- Experience working in a university setting.
- One (1) year of health‑related experience.
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, with occasional nights and weekends.
