Private Educator

Overview

ESM seeks a dynamic, experienced private educator to support a single student in Miami, FL for the remainder of the school year (January–June 2026), with a potential 12‑month renewal. The tutor will provide in‑person instruction 3‑5 days per week.

This full‑time role focuses on guiding the student’s academic success while supporting parents.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing instruction in Analytical Algebra (Algebra II), Biology, Spanish, English, and History.
• Communicating with parents and mentoring the student for social‑emotional and life‑skills development.
• Advising on extracurricular projects and coordinating online tutoring support from other ESM tutors.
• Managing overall academic progress and addressing any related needs.

Up to 30 hours per week are required, with occasional evenings and weekends. Additional tutoring with other ESM students may be possible.

• Bachelor’s degree from a Top 25 university.
• Strong command of Analytical Algebra (Algebra II), Bio, English, and History;
  Spanish proficiency a plus.
• Knowledge of 10th‑grade Pre‑Calculus and Chemistry is a plus for renewal.
• 5+ years of teaching/tutoring experience in applicable subjects.
• Availability for full‑time in‑person work 3‑5 days per week in Miami.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship‑building, executive‑functioning, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work with other Guidewell Education tutoring students when schedule allows.

• Annual salary: $70,000–$90,000, depending on experience and subjects taught.
• Bonus for each private‑education semester completed.
• One‑time moving/relocation stipend if relocating from outside the area.
• Possibility of hourly compensation for work with other students outside scheduled hours.
