Salary: $54.37 per hour (Base Rate)
Reports To: Department Chairperson

This adjunct faculty member teaches History courses. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

• Teach lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluate and advise students
• Participate in departmental and college affairs
• Develop curricula
• Recruit students
• Serve on committees
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Master’s degree in History; or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in History
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Teaching experience at college or community college level preferred
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
