Position: Early Childhood Teacher (Infants - Preschool)

Teacher Educational Qualifications

Teachers must have a minimum of a BA, BS, or AA degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education. Applicants with a degree in something other than the above must have a minimum of 30 college credits in ECE, CD, Elem Educ, and/or ECE Special Ed.

Salary = $45,000 - $50,000 annually (transition to salary around 90 days)

Schedule - Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Lead Teacher

Job Description
  • Support the emotional and educational needs of young children.
  • 90% of a child’s brain develops in the first 2,000 days of life – the time between birth and the start of Kindergarten. Each day you should laugh, play, grow and learn as you nurture and teach young children.
  • Intentionally prepare and maintain an enriched learning environment.
  • Routinely assess the needs of each child in their class, and then use this assessment data to differentiate and individualize instruction to support each child’s developing skills and knowledge.
  • Nurture children, by responding to their interests and needs, and making learning meaningful.
  • Implement the curriculum.
  • Supervise other members of the teaching staff (Assistants, and Substitutes).
  • Work cooperatively with diverse families, administrators and team members.
  • Maintain a very high level of quality and excellence in early care and education by being able to understand, articulate and meet the standards, criteria, curriculum and guidelines outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and Step Up to Quality, and Creative Curriculum.
