Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School in Miami Lakes, Florida is seeking a full-time Lead Pre-Kindergarten 2 Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. The applicant must be a nurturing, creative, and dedicated professional with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and to develop thematic units. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.

• High School diploma required;
  Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience working in a preschool classroom.
• Certification in CDA or higher.
• Must have begun part 1 and 2 of DCF training, having taken the competency exam for part 1.
• After 1 year, must have State 40 hours’ childcare training with DCF completed, with all competency exams.
• Universal Precautions/Exposure Plan course from DCF.
• Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome Training.
• Current CPR course.
• Strength in creating a warm, welcoming environment for students and families. Ability to provide a hands‑on approach enabling children to discover, learn, and critically solve problems about the world.
• Proficiency in computer skills and email functions.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Must be of good moral character and supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
