This position is In-Person Barry University in Miami Shores seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Fundamentals of Speech. Candidates should possess a master’s degree or equivalent in Communication or a related field. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, fostering student participation, and assessing speech performances. Ideal candidates will demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to student success.

** Essential Functions
** In collaboration with the appropriate academic/director, the Adjunct Faculty will:
* Produce a comprehensive syllabus.
* Create, administer and evaluate exams, papers and projects.
* Employ appropriate academic online resources (e.g., Canvas, etc.).
* Schedule at least one office hour per week, per course section, to address students’ questions, issues, concerns, etc.
** Qualifications/Requirements
*** A master’s degree or higher in Communication (or closely related area) and 18 graduate hours in Speech/Communication discipline (or closely related)
* Prior teaching experience is preferred.
* Excellent communications skills
