The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Miami School of Medicine seeks a Clinical Instructor. Main responsibilities include extensive direct patient care, night and weekend on-call duties, and staffing residents in the clinics and operating room.
The Instructor will assist in teaching and training residents in an Ophthalmic Training Program, excel in teaching, and be willing to assume appropriate administrative responsibilities.
Candidate must have an M.D. degree and accredited residency training in ophthalmology in the U.S., be board certified or board eligible, and hold a valid and unrestricted State of Florida Medical License or Medical Faculty Certificate.

Responsibilities- Provide extensive direct patient care.

- Supervise and train junior residents and students in clinical tasks.
- Staff residents in the clinics and operating room.
- Assist in teaching and training residents in an Ophthalmic Training Program.
- Assume appropriate administrative responsibilities.
- M.D. or D.O. Degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program.
- State of Florida Medical Licensure.
- DEA Certification.
