The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is seeking qualified candidates to join our expanding faculty. • Completion of a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology (equivalence can be considered case-by-case).
• Research experience is desirable but not required.

• Perform a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, general vascular, and kidney transplants. Cardiac cases and treatment of children under 2 years are not required. Skills in regional anesthesia and older children are helpful.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs, and perform cases independently if needed.
• Participate in academic activities including teaching, mentoring, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings.
• Expect 3-4 overnight calls per month, some from home, with potential evening and weekend calls.
• Effort distribution may vary based on departmental needs, candidate interests, and grant funding success.

• Dependent on experience and professorial rank at hiring.
