will you contribute to the team?
- Support design teams working on various project types such as commercial, rail, transit, aviation, etc. through all stages of design.
- Enhance current abilities and make timely design and technical decisions in a collaborative manner, with the guidance of peers and supervisors.
- Present yourself professionally to clients while maintaining a ‘seller‑doer’ approach.
- Develop design concepts and sketches into Revit‑based construction documents.
- Create a complete set of construction documents in BIM and follow redlined documents for production in Revit.
- Coordinate with sub‑consultants and other disciplines, mentoring junior staff as needed.
- Provide technical information to specification writers and develop organized exhibits in Bluebeam and PowerPoint for client and team review.
- Perform site and field work, including site investigations, existing facility inventory and field‑measured documentation.
- Provide status reports of progress on architectural documents to Project Architects/Project Managers.
- Complete assignments efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner, and perform self‑quality control on work prior to publication or review by senior staff.
- Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
- Maintain and coordinate the project BIM model and develop a strong knowledge of construction document standards and conventions.
- Develop a strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes.
- Consult product manufacturers, evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field.
- Develop a deeper understanding of building materials and construction methods.
- Demonstrate strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
- Work independently or in a team environment as needed.
- Desire to develop the skills required to analyze information and propose effective solutions on your own initiative.
- Create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for career advancement.
- Perform other duties as the supervisor determines necessary to support the Architecture Practice.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program (required).
