We are appointing a senior design executive to define and elevate the architectural direction of a major Caribbean resort portfolio. This role carries enterprise-level influence: setting standards, strengthening design governance, and delivering consistent project performance across new developments, expansions, and repositioning programs.

Based in Miami, you will lead an established in-house studio in Barbados while directing a curated network of external architects, consultants, and specialty designers. The mandate is to create a disciplined, scalable design function that delivers quality, efficiency, and long-term asset value.

• Lead, mentor, and professionalize an existing design team through structured coaching, accountability, and capability building
• Establish a scalable resourcing model that integrates internal talent with a high-performing external partner network
• Implement clear design governance frameworks, ensuring projects begin with robust briefs and progress through defined stage gates
• Chair design reviews that drive alignment, accelerate decision-making, and resolve risks early
• Integrate guest experience, operational performance, maintainability, and lifecycle cost considerations into all design solutions
• Improve documentation rigor and coordination standards, embedding lessons learned into repeatable systems
• Create consistency in design quality across a geographically diverse portfolio

• 15+ years of architectural or interior architectural experience with significant hospitality or resort project delivery
• Demonstrated success building, scaling, or restructuring design teams
• Executive-level leadership capable of bringing structure and pace to complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Experience implementing governance, quality control, and cross-disciplinary coordination systems
• Comfortable operating across cultures, jurisdictions, and site conditions with regular travel

This is a portfolio-shaping leadership position with direct influence on brand, guest experience, and capital performance. You will be entrusted with raising standards, developing talent, and creating a resilient design platform capable of supporting long-term growth. The role combines creative authority with operational discipline at scale.
