Our Miami studio is growing, and we’re looking for a Project Architect / Technical Designer to join our Architecture team.
About the roleThe Project Architect / Technical Designer bridges conceptual design and technical execution, ensuring design intent is translated into precise, coordinated, and buildable solutions. This role plays a critical leadership function across all project phases, from concept through construction, safeguarding technical clarity, code compliance, constructability, and overall quality.
Working closely with Project Directors, Technical Directors, and interdisciplinary teams, you’ll guide technical documentation, coordinate consultants, and support the successful delivery of complex architectural projects.
What you’ll do- Support or manage projects from early concept through tender and construction documentation
- Act as a key technical point of contact between internal teams, consultants, and contractors
- Translate conceptual designs into coordinated, buildable architectural solutions
- Lead the development of accurate, well-organized drawing sets and BIM models (Revit)
- Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility requirements, fire safety, zoning, and AHJ regulations
- Coordinate and manage consultant inputs, including model coordination and clash detection
- Assemble and manage permitting and authority-having-jurisdiction submission packages
- Track project milestones, drawing logs, revisions, RFIs, and approvals
- Review and QA technical drawings produced by junior team members
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to project teams
- Support construction phases through shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and issue resolution
We’re seeking a technically strong architect who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings clarity, rigor, and leadership to the delivery of complex projects.
You are:
- A licensed or registered architect (AIA, RIBA, ARB, or equivalent, as applicable)
- Equipped with 9–11 years of professional architectural experience
- Experienced in hospitality and destination design, including FOH/BOH planning and brand standards
- Highly proficient in Revit and comfortable managing BIM coordination across disciplines
- Knowledgeable in building systems, construction methods, sustainability standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident managing multiple projects and deadlines
- A clear communicator who can translate complex technical information to diverse audiences
