The Production Manager will be based in Miami and will support the US Latin label. This position will assist with day-to-day management of various digital service providers, operations processes and maintain cross-functional relationships within the group. The ideal candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize various tasks in an ever-changing environment will also be key.
Responsibilities- Engage with both digital and physical (vinyl, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, Blu-rays) products.
- Manage label copy for projects: secure credits, clarify inconsistencies, compile credits into a usable format, route for approval, then distribute to those coordinating packaging and others who need it.
- Maintain the label copy as a live document, updating as needed and archiving for future reference; respond to requests from the label Publicity department, Billboard, Grammy submissions, and others.
- Proofread metadata for accuracy before digital products are sent to DSPs; proofread copy on layouts of physical packaging and DVD menu screens.
- Enter new release information into the company’s central database, research missing setup criteria, adjust metadata to meet DSP style guides, and troubleshoot DSP validation issues.
- Occasionally work directly in Apple’s interface to make metadata edits when vital.
- Run production schedules, distribute to distribution lists, and build/send Daily Schedule Changes with late-breaking updates.
- Set up and schedule all WM Latina products and affiliate label products to DSPs.
- Manage product lifecycle from initial setup through release maintenance and street date.
- Collaborate with Partner Account Management, Global Technology, Supply Chain Operations and external partners to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve supply chain issues.
- Manage new album and single releases weekly, ensuring audio, art, metadata, scheduling, and pricing comply with industry standards.
- Complete digital bill of materials (dBOM) approval for delivery to DSPs.
- Conduct weekly checks to ensure products have delivered to accounts and reconcile details with release intent.
- Handle takedowns and price changes as requested by labels.
- Manage delivery and tracking of all digital releases for assigned projects.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Creative, self-starter with exceptional follow-up skills.
- Thorough understanding of current digital music distribution partners and industry best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities and priorities.
- 5+ years’ experience in the music industry.
- Data analysis/research skills.
- Leadership mindset with responsibility for team achievements and challenges.
- Knowledge of digital retailer metadata requirements and broad knowledge of the audio production process.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with varied personalities at all levels.
- Flexibility, attention to detail, and comfort juggling multiple responsibilities and last-minute requests.
- Problem solver with deadline awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Genuine interest in music and the music business.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team player who can tolerate ambiguity.
- Digital experience is highly preferred.
- Experience leading a team and managing people.
