This role is a critical partner to Education, Marketing, and Commercial teams, ensuring consistent brand execution, elevated client experience, and artistry‑driven performance in luxury retail environments.
Role OverviewThe Regional Makeup Artist – US Market is the field authority for makeup artistry, responsible for elevating application excellence, protecting brand standards, and translating artistry into client engagement and conversion.
This role complements Market Trainers and Education Managers by owning the artistry lane
—technique, execution, hygiene, and service behaviors—while partnering closely with training teams during key launches, events, and high‑impact moments.
The position is remote and requires frequent travel.
Main Responsibilities Artistry Standards & Execution- Set, maintain, and elevate makeup artistry standards across the US market, including complexion, eyes, lips, and brand look execution.
- Define and reinforce “what good looks like” in makeup application, speed‑to‑service, and consistency.
- Own hygiene excellence, including sanitation protocols, brush and tool standards, and product handling.
- Coach Beauty Advisors and field teams on artistry behaviors that drive performance, including consultation flow, shade matching, demo execution, and basket building.
- Provide in-the-moment, on‑counter coaching and feedback to elevate technique and client experience.
- Reinforce repeatable service behaviors that improve conversion and client confidence.
- Lead artistry execution for product launches, peak periods, retailer events, and key brand activations.
- Develop artistry playbooks for events, including hero looks, demo scripts, service flow, and execution guidelines.
- Support stores and field leaders as the artistry lead during high‑impact commercial moments.
- Plan and facilitate artistry‑focused programs such as Summits and Bootcamps.
- Build and maintain artistry tools and materials, including look cards, demo guides, technique modules, and hygiene checklists.
- Partner with Market Trainers on joint sessions where artistry is the primary driver of performance.
- Capture and share field insights related to client needs, shade gaps, technique challenges, and emerging trends.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Education, Marketing, and Commercial teams to refine artistry content and execution strategies.
- Support continuous improvement of artistry standards based on market feedback.
- 5+ years of professional makeup artistry experience in prestige or luxury retail environments.
- Proven experience coaching teams and translating artistry into measurable sales results.
- Strong expertise in complexion, undertones, correction techniques, and texture‑aware application.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high brand standards.
- Comfortable working independently in a field‑based, fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to travel 30–50%, depending on launch calendar and retailer needs.
