The Associate Producer is responsible for identifying news‑worthy stories, conceptualizing and producing rundowns, assisting in the production of live shows, preparing and calling supers for live broadcasts. Candidates must have a strong editorial background and be able to multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. They need to work across multiple platforms—including broadcast, streaming, and digital—and may need to work weekends, early mornings, and flexible hours for last‑minute scheduling changes.

• Work live newscasts and special events.
• Assist in all aspects of production, from headline to segments, as needed.
• Request news graphics, including editorial and creative process.
• Prepare and call supers and titles in a live broadcast.
• Possess news gathering savviness and social media knowledge.
• Contribute to the editorial line of the day.
• Collaborate with Assignment Editors, Reporters, production crews, and the news digital team.
• Assign and produce news briefs.
• Work closely with Producers and Executive Producers on story planning and coordination.

• Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Producer/Associate Producer in TV production and/or cable TV.
  • Full fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Prior work experience directing and guiding talent in video productions.
• Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong editorial knowledge.
  • Proven solid writing skills. Excellent grammar.
  • Fully bilingual, Spanish and English proficient.
  • Proficiency in I-News and other live‑news production systems.
  • Proficiency in VIZ.
  • Acquainted with teamwork and collaborating across all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and visual storytelling ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends, early mornings, and flexible hours for last‑minute scheduling changes.
  • Outside‑the‑box thinker.
