, has since become specialized in general road construction and transportation infrastructure. From its four operation and plant facilities in Miami-Dade, Fort Myers, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach, the company boasts extensive geographic coverage throughout South Florida, focusing on all aspects of transportation infrastructure development, primarily for state and local authorities. Community Asphalt continues to provide traditional paving services which include grading and paving, pavement milling, surveying, excavation, on and off-road hauling, drainage, utilities, base finishing, and highway sweeping.

Our company has an immediate opening for Equipment Operator in Miami, Fl
. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, loaders, and excavators, to perform various tasks related to paving, grading, and construction projects. The role includes adhering to all safety standards, maintaining equipment, and ensuring project specifications are met.
- Operate Equipment:
Safely and efficiently operate bulldozers, loaders, excavators and other heavy equipment for grading, excavating, and other construction tasks as directed. - Project Execution:
Perform assigned tasks following project plans and specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy in all operations. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety protocols. - Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct daily inspections of equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor. - Team
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other crew members, communicating effectively to ensure smooth project progress. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and maintenance logs. - Other duties may be assigned.
- Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating bulldozers, loaders, or excavators in a construction or paving environment. - Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver’s license and heavy equipment operator certification preferred. - Knowledge:
Strong understanding of construction and paving operations, including grading, excavating, and material handling. - Skills:
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications; strong mechanical aptitude. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Ability to work flexible schedules such as nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Pass drug test, fit‑for‑duty test and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate and inspect equipment.
- Capability to perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials.
- Outdoor construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Noise levels associated with heavy equipment operation.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
