Position: Project Manager I

Bilingual Talent Acquisition Management Consultant @ Hill International | Talent Attraction, Recruitment

Hill International is seeking a Project Manager I in Broward County, Florida—Miami and Fort Lauderdale area—with experience in Education facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design, construction, and closeout activities for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with SBBC standards, SREF, and applicable codes.
  • Track project progress against approved schedule and budget; identify and resolve variances.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between architects, engineers, contractors, and district staff.
  • Monitor contractor performance and enforce contract requirements.
  • Support procurement activities and review pay applications for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely completion of punch lists and warranty documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Associate’s degree may be considered with additional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, architecture, or engineering in Education facilities.
  • Experience managing design and construction phases for commercial or educational facilities.
  • PMP Certification or LEED Accreditation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e-Builder/Trimble Unity Construct, Primavera P6, Bluebeam) is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to analyze schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Familiarity with SREF, Florida Building Code, and SBBC standards.
  • Understanding of contract administration and quality control practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Frequent site visits to active construction projects.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.
