Infant Toddler Teacher-Downtown (Part Time-$15.66/hr)

Salary Range: $15.66 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Location: Lotus Village Center, 217 NW 15 Street, Miami, FL 33136 (Downtown Miami Area)

Responsibilities- Complete daily observations of children and create daily experience plans that build on children’s prior experiences.
- Encourage and model appropriate behavior and expectations.
- Capitalize on opportunities to help children build vocabulary by asking follow‑up questions.
- Collaborate with program staff to make daily decisions on materials, activities, and environments that support learning.
- Observe and document each child’s health, behavior, growth, and development.
- Supervise children, following all safety and health rules for the eight children in the classroom.
- Keep the environment safe, clean, and organized and accessible to children.
- Complete appropriate documentation to report incidents and accidents.
- High School Diploma or GED and 45 DCF hours.
- Flexibility, understanding of diversity and inclusion, good communication skills, teamwork, and sensitivity to the needs of others.
- Knowledge of visible thinking, multiple intelligences, dual language, inclusion, early literacy strategies, and reflective supervision (preferred).
