Overview

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Indirect (e.g., Retail, Entertainment, Professional Services, Marketing, HR) will lead and manage efforts to secure optimal sourcing opportunities with local and regional impacts. This role aims to deliver value, drive savings, increase efficiency, assure supply, and mitigate supply chain risks. The Manager will act as a strategic partner who listens to understand business needs, plan and implement sourcing initiatives, and ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.

The position will ensure integration of procurement/sourcing policy and utilize a strategic sourcing process that includes rigorous market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, and baseline spend analysis to generate options and document a strategic sourcing plan. This may include RFP execution, negotiations with suppliers, contract execution and implementation, and monitoring of source recommendations.

They will work closely with VP and SVP level stakeholders, providing expertise in strategy development, spend management, analysis, and negotiation. Leadership experience, business savvy, and the ability to influence spend decisions are essential.

The ideal candidate will interpret and operationalize sourcing strategies developed by senior leadership or category leads, ensuring consistent execution and measurable value delivery.

Job Functions
  • Lead, develop, and implement an integrated strategic process across brands, working with brand stakeholders and Corporate to identify strategic sourcing opportunities that deliver competitive economic advantage while maintaining or improving quality and service levels. As needed, develop deep spend analysis by commodity, vendor and/or SKU to identify opportunities and overall sourcing strategy.
  • Manage Strategic Sourcing Initiatives utilizing a strategic sourcing process (market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, RFP execution, formal negotiation strategy, contracting, implementation, and monitoring). Negotiate multi‑million‑dollar contracts on behalf of the company, engaging with suppliers at COO and CEO level.
  • Manage contracts and key supplier relationships.
  • Engage and collaborate with brand stakeholders and corporate teams. Manage the category portfolio and maintain significant spend oversight in Opex/Cap Ex. Develop and implement multi‑year growth plans for the category or “business units”; maintain commercial awareness and manage market trends and gaps that impact the category and the company’s supply chain; manage suppliers to ensure uninterrupted flow of products/services.
  • Deliver results to performance goals and measurement, including hard savings, cost avoidance, supplier diversity, and sustainability.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Lead and manage efforts across four North America brands to secure optimal sourcing opportunities with local and regional impacts, delivering value, savings, and efficiencies.
  • Partner with stakeholders across brands to ensure alignment with goals and objectives, utilizing rigorous market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, and baseline spend analysis to document a strategic sourcing plan.
  • Manage the category portfolio with significant spend oversight of multi‑million‑dollar contracts in Opex/Cap Ex.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities by partnering and collaborating with product developers and key suppliers, influencing category strategy, spend decisions, and stakeholder experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Travel & Hospitality, Retail, Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • Preferred: CPSM or travel certifications.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills including financial cost analysis; should cost and total cost of ownership; working knowledge of spend analytics and eRFX tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills, business ethics, problem‑solving ability, and multi‑tasking capability in complex situations.
  • Strategic thinking, senior influence, and the ability to interface independently with peers in other departments and brands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; champion of change management; planning/project management skills.
