Analyst, Promotions Planning

Overview
Talento has partnered with a large organization in Miami on a contract Analyst, Promotions Planning role. This person is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of products during national promotions while minimizing the cost of obsolete inventory. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills to coordinate across suppliers, distributors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flawless execution and implementation of national promotions to maintain product supply and reduce obsolete inventory.
• Analyze inventory positions across the supply chain, reviewing purchase orders and adjusting as needed to meet required dates and prevent supply gaps.
• Develop forecasts at both menu and item levels to support national promotions, as well as customized forecasts for regional or restaurant-specific needs.
• Track promotion performance and communicate results to stakeholders to prevent outages and minimize excess inventory.
• Design and implement tools and reports to improve promotional planning processes.
• Manage order management processes, exception reports, change requests, and distributor inventory levels.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement.
• Lead and prepare materials for promotional planning meetings and distributor calls.
• Manage the depletion of excess inventory through transfers, salvage sales, or financial resolution with distributors.
• Oversee invoice payment processes related to excess inventory and freight charges, ensuring pricing accuracy and proper documentation.
• Build and manage relationships with internal teams and external partners, influencing disciplined execution of promotional programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in promotions planning, inventory management, or supply chain.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure.
