This is a senior management role responsible for the end-to-end oversight of all aviation technical records activities within a regulated aftermarket environment. The position leads a team of technical records professionals and is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of all aircraft, engine, and component documentation.
The role requires strong subject-matter expertise in aviation records, a detailed understanding of FAA and EASA regulatory standards, and the ability to work cross-functionally across operations, quality, commercial, and asset management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical records analysts, driving high standards of performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all technical documentation complies with applicable aviation authority regulations and internal procedures through regular audits and reviews.
- Review and validate records packages and marketing materials supporting the sale or lease of engines, modules, and components.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of complete records packages for asset transitions, including sales and leases.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation and actively manage resolution plans with internal teams and external partners.
- Act as a key interface with airlines, lessors, MROs, OEMs, and regulatory authorities to address records-related queries and inspections.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders to ensure full back-to-birth traceability where required.
- Track and report departmental KPIs, audit outcomes, and compliance metrics to senior management.
- Strong working knowledge of back-to-birth traceability requirements for LLPs and other critical components.
- Solid understanding of MRO and aftermarket documentation standards
- Experience with in airline, MRO, leasing, or engine aftermarket environments is highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations, maintenance documentation, and quality systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and aviation records or ERP systems.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale.
