The Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Indirect (e.g., Retail, Entertainment, Professional Services, Marketing, HR) will lead and manage efforts to secure optimal sourcing opportunities with local and regional impacts. This role aims to deliver value, drive savings, increase efficiency, assure supply, and mitigate supply chain risks. The Manager will act as a strategic partner who listens to understand business needs, plan and implement sourcing initiatives, and ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring integration of the procurement/sourcing policy and utilizing a strategic sourcing process that includes rigorous market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, and RFP execution. They will negotiate multi‑million‑dollar contracts with suppliers at COO and CEO levels, contract execution, implementation, and monitoring of source recommendations.
They will work closely with functional stakeholder groups at the VP and SVP level, providing expertise in strategy development, spend management, analysis, and negotiation. This role requires leadership experience, business savvy, and the ability to influence spend decisions.
The ideal candidate will interpret and operationalize sourcing strategies developed by senior leadership, ensuring consistent execution and measurable value delivery.
Job Functions- Lead, develop, and implement an integrated strategic sourcing process across brands. Work with brand stakeholders and corporate to identify opportunities that leverage company size and scale to deliver a competitive advantage while maintaining or improving quality and service levels. Develop deep spend analysis by commodity, vendor, and/or SKU to identify opportunities and overall sourcing strategy.
- Manage strategic sourcing initiatives using market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, RFP execution, formal negotiation strategy and plan, contracting, implementation, and monitoring of source recommendations. Negotiate multi‑million‑dollar contracts on behalf of Carnival engaging with suppliers at the COO and CEO level.

- Engage and collaborate with brand stakeholders and corporate teams. Manage the category portfolio with significant spend oversight in OPEX/ CAPEX. Develop and implement multi‑year growth plans for the category or business units, maintain commercial awareness, and manage suppliers to ensure flow of products/services.
- Deliver results to performance goals and measurement, including hard savings, cost avoidance, supplier diversity, and sustainability.
- Lead and manage efforts across the four NA brands to secure optimal sourcing opportunities with local and regional impacts, delivering value, savings, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with stakeholders across Carnival’s North America brands (CCL, HAL, PCL, SBN) to align goals and objectives, utilizing rigorous market/region analysis, supplier risk analysis, baseline spend analysis, and a strategic sourcing plan that may include RFP execution, negotiations, contracting, and monitoring.
- Manage category portfolio with significant spend oversight in multi‑million‑dollar OPEX/ CAPEX contracts.
- Demonstrate leadership through strategic partnership, collaboration with product developers and key suppliers, and by persuading, influencing and negotiating category strategy and spend decisions.
- Interact with all levels of the organization, providing overall experience to diverse stakeholders and prioritizing changing workload requests.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Travel & Hospitality, Retail, Supply Chain or other applicable disciplines.
- CPSM or travel certifications preferred but not required.
- Advanced spreadsheet and numerical analysis skills, including financial cost analysis, should cost, total cost of ownership; working knowledge of spend analytics and eRFX tools.
