Position Objective:

The Receptionist welcomes visitors (vendors, customers, patients, staff, students, etc.) to the department by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering or referring their inquiries appropriately.

• Call caregivers to confirm upcoming clinic appointments and maintain appointment calendars.
• Work closely with the Intake Coordinator on new referrals received via the Florida Early Steps website, faxes and emails.
• Maintain referral logs to track daily and weekly referrals.
• Work closely with the Office Manager to maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Communicate with UM facilities when work orders need to be placed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn and navigate the Florida Early Steps data system and other platforms used in the program.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
