Reports To: Office Supervisor

First Review Date: December 10, 2025

The Part‑Time Clerk performs basic clerical and administrative support duties.

Responsibilities
  • Recommends language courses and registers students
  • Facilitates the enrollment process
  • Assists students with interpreting placement testing results and course selection process
  • Organizes and conducts orientation sessions for new students
  • Refers students to appropriate departments for additional assistance as needed
  • Conducts follow‑up activities such as classroom visits to provide early registration assistance and general advisement in order to increase student success and retention
  • Compiles attendance and enrollment data
  • Works closely with the supervisor to offer guidance to students as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) months of clerical experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of college organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of clerical work
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written format
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi‑ethnic and multi‑cultural environment with students, faculty and staff

Additional Requirements: The final candidate must successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
