Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and escrow accounting. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and be available to start immediately. This role plays a critical part in managing transaction accounting, escrow reconciliations, and financial reporting for complex real estate deals.

• Manage and oversee accounting for commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing transactions
• Maintain and reconcile escrow and trust accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare and review settlement statements, closing entries, and post-closing reconciliations
• Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, lenders, and internal stakeholders during transaction closings
• Ensure accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with direct experience in commercial real estate transactions and escrow accounts
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
• Experience preparing and reviewing closing statements and escrow reconciliations
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Must be immediately available to start

• Experience with property management accounting systems
• Prior experience working with title companies or real estate investment firms
