Senior accountant

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role requires a proactive individual with strong bookkeeping skills and expertise in managing financial operations. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records, have experience with Yardi; and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.

- Utilize Quick Books to manage and track financial transactions effectively.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Manage financial activities related to real estate, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.

- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and systems.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

- Familiarity with Yardi software is preferred.

- Background in real estate accounting is an advantage.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
