A growing, multi-entity organization is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and supervise a team supporting multiple business units. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader with strong general ledger expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting close and reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop an accounting team responsible for day-to-day general ledger operations across multiple entities.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting guidelines for transactional processing and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of periodic financial reports in accordance with GAAP and internal reporting standards.
  • Review balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations; ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Ensure proper recording and elimination of intercompany activity within consolidated reporting.
  • Monitor financial statement results and escalate trends, concerns, or anomalies to leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance close efficiency, reporting quality, and process consistency.
  • Prepare variance analyses, working capital reporting, and cash flow reporting with supporting commentary.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and projection processes.
  • Maintain and manage fixed asset schedules and related accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention policies and support audit or internal review requests as needed.
  • Perform additional accounting and reporting responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience including a blend of public and corporate accounting (prior Big 4 highly preferred)
  • Prior people leadership and team management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software required
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize quickly, and a continuous improvement mindset.
