We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the company’s accounting operations within a well-established, product-based distribution environment. This individual will manage day-to-day accounting functions, supervise AR/AP processes, oversee inventory and customs-related accounting, and serve as the primary financial liaison to ownership and the company’s external CPA firm.

• Accounting Operations Leadership:
  Oversee full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions;
  Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate invoice processing and documentation;
  Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations;
  Maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy;
  Ensure proper general ledger maintenance
• Cash Flow & Financial Management:
  Manage company cash flow and vendor payment schedules;
  Monitor aging reports and collections;
  Review payroll prior to processing;
  Support forecasting and liquidity planning
• Reconciliations & Month-End Close:
  Perform and review bank and credit card reconciliations;
  Lead month-end close process;
  Maintain balance sheet integrity and financial accuracy
• Inventory & Customs Accounting:
  Oversee inventory accounting and cost tracking;
  Manage customs and duty-related accounting;
  Ensure proper recording of import-related expenses;
  Work closely with vendors and suppliers regarding billing and duty matters
• Reporting & CPA Interface:
  Prepare financial reporting for ownership;
  Serve as liaison to the outside CPA firm;
  Assist with year-end reporting and supporting documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in distribution, wholesale, logistics, or import/export environments strongly preferred
• Inventory accounting experience required
• Experience handling customs/duties accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting/ERP system
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
