Accounting Specialist

Description

Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join a growing organization in the 33131 area. The ideal candidate will have a track record of accuracy in transactional accounting, a proactive approach to problem solving, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections.

+ Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing.

+ Prepare and process journal entries as part of the regular accounting cycle.

+ Support company payroll functions and assist with related reconciliations.

+ Maintain accounting controls and assist in compliance activities.

+ Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.

+ Assist with data analysis and financial reporting as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.

+ Proficiency with accounting systems (experience with Quick Books, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, or SAP is a plus).

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

+ Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL or Power

BI is a bonus.

+ Excellent organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills.

+ Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
