Consilio’s direct hire recruiting team is partnering with a highly regarded government client to hire a full‑time Accountant for their Miami office. This role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial operations and ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards and the organization’s internal protocols. This is a direct‑hire, permanent role with our client (not with Consilio). The candidate must be bilingual in English/Arabic.
- This role is onsite 5x a week in office.
- Hours:
9am-4pm - Comprehensive health coverage covered at 100% for you, your spouse, and children
- 22 vacation days, 15 sick days, and paid holidays
- Oversee all accounting functions, including budgeting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for submission to headquarters.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, process payments, and monitor expenditures.
- Administer payroll for local staff in accordance with U.S. labor and tax laws.
- Support procurement by managing vendor payments and ensuring financial compliance.
- Coordinate with banks, tax authorities, external auditors, and government oversight bodies.
- Assist with audits, financial inquiries, and special reporting requests.
- Provide HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining personnel files.
- Support financial coordination for events, delegations, and special consular projects.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Fluency in English and Arabic required.
- 4-8 years of accounting experience, preferably within a government, diplomatic, or nonprofit environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, payroll processes, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and professionalism.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
