Overview

We are growing our Private Client Services (PCS) practice in West Palm Beach, FL and Miami, FL. PCS focuses on family office services, tax compliance and tax advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and their private companies. We seek an Associate to join the team.

The Team

The PCS team serves high-net-worth individuals and families and their private companies, acting as advisor, advocate, teammate and partner. We deliver highly personalized solutions to help clients achieve long-term goals.

How You Will Contribute

As a Senior Associate within Private Client Services you will:

  • Provide multiple clients with accounting, support and administrative services, including:
  • Responsible for full accounting processes, including timely posting of financial transactions to the general ledger, maintaining the ledger, posting journal entries, coordinating monthly close, and preparing financial reports
  • Manage accounting functions for specific families (accounts payable, processing invoices and payments in a timely, accurate manner)
  • Compile and analyze financial information for entries to accounts and document business transactions
  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts
  • Reconcile expenses and intercompany accounts
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages for clients with related work papers
  • Assist in preparation of annual tax package and supporting documents
  • Handle special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting controls and procedures
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients and collaborate to gather project information and resolve issues
  • Assist the PCS tax group with providing tax and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals in areas including individual income tax, wealth transfer and succession planning, and international tax
  • Attend client calls to understand critical areas and apply tax knowledge to client situations
  • Create deliverables that are concise, complete and address client needs
  • Mentor Associates by delegating tasks, ensuring timely completion and sharing best practices
  • Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client businesses; opportunities to assume additional responsibility
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • Build internal relationships within the Federal Tax team and the broader A&M firm
  • Value diversity of perspectives and foster an inclusive environment
  • Assist with business development, including creating resources and proposal materials
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
    Master’s in Accounting is a plus
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience;
    Private Client Service/Family Office/High Net Worth accounting experience strongly preferred
  • CPA (or in process of pursuing)
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Quick Books
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • BIlingual is a plus
