We are looking for a Property Accountant with residential/multifamily experience to handle full-cycle accounting for a growing portfolio of apartment communities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, budget tracking, and compliance for owned and managed properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform monthly close: journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Manage CAM reconciliations, rent roll reviews, and security deposit accounting.
- Prepare property-level budgets, quarterly re-forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Handle tenant ledger maintenance, delinquency reporting, and lease abstraction support.
- Coordinate with property managers on operating expenses, capital projects, and owner distributions.
- Support year-end audits and tax packages.
- 3–5+ years of property accounting experience with residential/multifamily properties required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or candidate a plus.
- Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
