We are working with a client in Brickell that is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team ASAP. This role requires you to work onsite 4 days and offers 1 remote day per week.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Construction Project Accountant to oversee the financial management of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking project costs, managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities- Oversee financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to address financial needs and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Utilize accounting software such as Net Suite and Excel to create reports and perform data analysis.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including pivot tables, to support project requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for projects across multiple regions.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to provide updates and address financial concerns.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations to verify data integrity.
- Support career advancement initiatives and contribute to team development.
- Assist in testing and improving processes related to accounting and project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably within construction
- Proficiency in Net Suite software preferred.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and practices relevant to construction projects.
