Continental, a full‑service law and lobbying firm with attorneys and government relations professionals throughout Florida and Washington D.C., has an immediate opening in our Miami office for a billing specialist with 2+ years of experience.
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of the invoice preparation process while ensuring that all invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. This role demands strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and issue client invoices accurately in accordance with contracts, rate schedules, and firm policies.
- Manage weekly and monthly billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing.
- Enter and maintain accurate billing data in the firm’s accounting system.
- Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys and clients; promptly research and resolve issues.
- Assist with client onboarding process related to billing systems and firm policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and collaborate with internal team to enhance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a billing professional
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal team and clients
- Prior experience with Timesolve a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
