Staff Accountant

Job Summary

SAYN is looking to hire a Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Perform variance analysis on financial data
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:

• CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA
• Experience with ERP systems
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting
