This position will assist in processing invoices and assist with month-end closing tasks.

Major Job Accountabilities:

• Develop/maintain invoice account coding process for all invoices.
• Assist with monthly variance analysis in conjunction with departmental managers for the operating budget.
• Coordinate payments with Accounts Payable to maintain credit standing with vendors.
• Calculate and organize prepayments for “short notice and “as needed” charters.
• Prepare customer fuel reconciliations.
• Develop/maintain system for billing back charges to customers.
• Work closely with vendors to obtain and verify all invoice supporting documentation.
• Recommend changes in operating procedures for cost containment.
• Provide analytical support for departmental projects as required.
• Develop and improve systems and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, Finance or related experience
• 2-4 years related experience.
• Experience working with public reporting companies.
• Experience with Sage Intaact and iPayables/Invoiceworks software preferred

Skills:

• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products (Excel specifically)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
