South Florida Autism Charter School (SFACS) is hiring Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) for the 2025-26 school year. SFACS is a charter school that exclusively serves students on the autism spectrum, in grades K-12, up to age 22. The position requires a valid COTA License for the State of Florida and offers an hourly rate of $33-$35, commensurate with experience.
The role involves working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support the school's curriculum and meet the needs of students.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist to monitor student performance
- Provide support for professional growth and achieve overall objectives of the school's curriculum
- Transport supplies and equipment to various sites to ensure availability
- Attend required staff trainings and additional training as mandated by the School District
- Volunteer at one community service event per year
- Assist in implementing individualized educational programs for students with autism
- Perform related duties as assigned to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit
- Maintain records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student learning
- Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)
