Job Title: Cargo Vessel Security Guard

Location: Port of Miami

Position Type: Full-Time (Minimum 32 Hours Weekly)

Schedule: Based on Vessel Operations (Open Availability Required)

We are seeking dependable and highly alert Security Guards to provide vessel security services at cargo shipping terminals located at the Port of Miami. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of cargo vessels, port personnel, and restricted areas in accordance with maritime security regulations.

The ideal candidate must be professional, vigilant, and able to work in a dynamic port environment where schedules are determined by vessel arrival and departure times.

• Monitor and control access at vessel gangways and designated security gates.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from boarding or entering restricted areas.
• Verify credentials and maintain strict access control procedures.
• Remain vigilant and alert at all times while on post.
• Conduct security inspections as required.
• Report any discrepancies, suspicious activity, or security violations immediately via two-way radio.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with supervisors and port personnel.
• Work various security posts as assigned depending on vessel operations.
• Complete accurate and detailed activity and incident reports.

• Minimum of 32 hours per week (unless shifts are declined).
• No fixed schedule – hours are based on vessel operations.
• Must have open availability Monday through Sunday.
• Shifts may range from 4 to 12 hours.
• Flexibility is required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
