Blend is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who wants to build a career in executive event sponsorship sales at a high-growth, category-defining company.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, grit, and curiosity to join a team that works directly with CMOs, CROs, VP’s Marketing, VP Demand Generation, Event leaders, and other senior enterprise leaders. You’ll play a critical role in fueling Blend’s sponsorship pipeline by initiating conversations, qualifying opportunities, and setting meetings for our Sponsorship Sales Account Executives and Co-Founder.
You’ll thrive here if you’re motivated, coachable, and excited by the idea of earning your way into a full-cycle sales role in a fast-moving environment.
This is a salaried position with variable compensation tied to performance and clear advancement milestones.
You will work directly with the Co-Founder, who will mentor and train you.
What You’ll DoAs an SDR at Blend, you’ll own the top of the sales funnel and help drive revenue through thoughtful, high-quality outbound and follow-up.
Responsibilities include:- Research and identify prospective B2B sponsors aligned with Blend’s executive events and community (technology, finance, healthcare, enterprise services, and more)
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on ICP criteria including company size, industry, buying committee relevance, and event sponsorship goals
- Prospect new opportunities through high-volume outbound calling, personalized email, and social outreach
- Engage and build early relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers at enterprise technology vendors
- Execute early stages of the sales cycle and build a qualified pipeline for Sponsorship Sales Account Executives
- Follow up on sales-led campaigns and self-generated prospect lists with consistent, value-driven outreach
- Schedule qualified meetings and discovery calls for AEs
- Clearly and confidently articulate Blend’s value proposition, event formats, and sponsorship offerings
- Track and manage all activity, leads, and opportunities in CRM
- Monitor and report on KPIs including meetings booked, qualified opportunities, conversion rates, and outreach effectiveness
- Stay informed on trends in executive events, ABM, B2B marketing, and enterprise buying behavior
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly activity and pipeline goals
- You have some experience in business development, sales development, or a client-facing professional role
- You’re a self-starter with grit, resilience, and a strong work ethic
- You’re comfortable (or eager to get comfortable) prospecting and cold calling
- You’re a confident, thoughtful communicator on the phone and in writing
- You’re goal-oriented and motivated by clear targets and growth opportunities
- You work well independently but thrive in a collaborative team environment
- You’re open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement
- You have strong time-management and organizational skills
- You’re excited about building a long-term sales career and understand that rejection and failure are part of success
While this is an entry-level role, it is foundational to Blend’s revenue engine.
Unlike many SDR roles, this position is designed for accelerated career progression, with the opportunity to move into a full-cycle Sponsorship Sales Account Executive role within 6-8 months, based on performance.
You’ll be closely mentored by Co-founder and experienced sales leaders and gain direct exposure to enterprise sales, executive buyers, and high-value sponsorship deals.
Benefits- Competitive base salary plus variable compensation
- Generous PTO and additional time off during end-of-year holidays
- Ongoing training, mentorship, and clear career progression
