Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and reputation of Gianni’s at the Villa Casuarina. This role oversees all restaurant operations (front- and back-of-house), ensuring an exceptional dining experience that reflects the prestige, history, and luxury standards of this iconic destination. The General Manager sets the tone for service excellence, financial discipline, team culture, and brand integrity.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations & Guest Experience
- Lead day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure seamless, elevated service across all meal periods.
- Maintain and enhance fine-dining service standards, pacing, and floor execution.
- Engage with guests, VIPs, and repeat clientele to create memorable dining experiences.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Leadership & Staffing
- Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and retain a high-performing management and service team.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and hospitality excellence.
- Conduct performance evaluations, corrective actions, and ongoing development.
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage sales performance and control labor, food, beverage, and operating costs.
- Monitor daily reports, staffing levels, inventory, and cash handling procedures.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ownership.
Food & Beverage Standards
- Partner with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure quality, consistency, and execution.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and responsible alcohol service.
- Enforce restaurant policies, labor laws, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of General Manager experience in upscale or fine-dining restaurants.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proven financial and operational management experience.
- Excellent guest-service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical & Professional Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Polished, professional appearance aligned with luxury dining standards.
