Position: Now Hiring: Maître D - New Italian-Mediterranean Restaurant Opening in Miami Beach

We're opening an exciting new Italian–Mediterranean restaurant on Miami Beach and looking for polished and welcoming Maitre D' to join our opening team! This is your opportunity to be part of something fresh, vibrant, and full of energy - where coastal Mediterranean flavors meet Miami Beach style and hospitality.

As a Maitre D', you will oversee the flow of service by managing reservations, walk-ins, and seating assignments while maintaining a polished and professional presence. Your role is key in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet guests warmly and manage check-ins for reservations and walk-ins
  • Organize and oversee the reservation book to maximize seating efficiency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance area and venue
  • Assist with incoming calls and answer guest inquiries
  • Strategically seat guests to balance service and enhance the guest experience
  • Support the dining room team with initial table setup and guest accommodations
  • Prepare and organize menus, ensuring all materials are updated and available
  • Follow all opening, closing, and sanitation procedures
  • Communicate effectively with management, kitchen, and service staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Previous hospitality experience required
  • Proficient with Open Table which is the FOH dining reservation platform
  • Prior Maitre D' or front-of-house leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant, lounge, or nightclub environment
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
