Job Description

The Executive Steward is responsible for overseeing all stewarding operations within our hotel, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency in all kitchen and food preparation areas. This leadership role involves managing stewarding staff, maintaining inventory of kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies, and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards to support seamless culinary operations across all hotel outlets.

What you'll do
  • Direct and manage the stewarding team to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
  • Develop and implement SOPs in line with Delano Miami Beach standards and health regulations
  • Coordinate with culinary and F&B teams to ensure timely availability of clean wares and equipment for all services and events.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
  • Maintain and operate dishwashing machines and other equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee waste management and recycling programs in coordination with sustainability goals
  • Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety standards, and efficient workflow.
  • Schedule staffing levels appropriately to meet the needs of the operations and special functions
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a stewarding management role in a luxury/lifestyle hotel
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing large stewarding teams.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, and local safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high volume environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
