About You   You are a Cloud Architect who enjoys owning architectural decisions and designing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions. You thrive in regulated environments and are comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with strategic thinking. You're motivated by building robust AWS architectures that meet strict security and compliance requirements—especially in healthcare-related contexts—and by collaborating closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams to deliver reliable cloud platforms.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following

Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong professional experience as a Cloud Architect on AWS, owning end-to-end architectural decisions.
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lightsail.
Experience working with cPanel-based environments hosted on AWS.
Solid knowledge of HIPAA compliance and proven experience designing and maintaining HIPAA-compliant cloud architectures on AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and data protection.
Experience implementing and reviewing security controls aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, security, and compliance teams.
Strong documentation skills for architecture designs, decisions, and compliance considerations.
Comfortable providing technical guidance and architectural leadership across teams.
Excellent English communication skills for working with US-based stakeholders.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure, scalable, and compliant AWS cloud architectures.
Build, maintain, and evolve HIPAA-compliant architectures, following AWS best practices and approved services.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and technical standards.
Define and enforce security controls, including encryption, access management, and network protections.
Review and optimize existing AWS environments for performance, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Document cloud architectures, technical decisions, and compliance-related considerations clearly and consistently.
Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance to development and infrastructure teams.
Support continuous improvement of cloud standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
