Responsibilities

- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing team of local manual review / fraud analysis. Develop the team's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and performance metrics (KPIs) focused on both efficiency and accuracy. Manage team scheduling, queue assignments, and daily workflow to ensure timely review of all escalated applications.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the review queue, ensuring all cases are analyzed based on established policies. Act as the final decision-maker for complex or high-risk applications, with a primary focus on identifying and preventing fraud. Train the team to analyze suspicious patterns, data inconsistencies, and documents that the automated system flagged as uncertain.
- Analyze the patterns and root causes of cases escalated to manual review, as well as the fraud cases identified. Provide a continuous, structured feedback loop to the risk team.
- Track and report on all key team metrics, such as review turnaround time, decision accuracy, pass rate, and the subsequent performance of manually approved loans. Work closely with the Collections team to understand the outcomes of manually approved cases.

Qualifications

- At least 2 years in a team leadership or management role within manual underwriting, credit operations, or anti-fraud for a Fin Tech, consumer lending, or e-commerce company. Proven experience in building and scaling a team and its processes from a very early stage.
- Expert-level knowledge of online/digital fraud detection in the consumer lending space. Strong understanding of loan application lifecycle.
- Excellent operational management skills: ability to manage a team, a queue, and performance metrics simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Mexican identification documents, KYC processes, and common local fraud tactics is a major plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and training skills. High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and decisive under pressure.
