Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Centro Tular Primera Sección

Overview   We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our month-end close process and partner closely with Revenue Operations and Sales on customer contracts, billing, and revenue recognition. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, improving processes, and gaining exposure to the full order-to-cash lifecycle. This search is confidential but we are a SaaS company based in the area with locations in New York, Canada and Europe!

Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Accounting Operations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare and maintain balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
Support audit and compliance requests with accurate documentation
Help improve close efficiency, controls, and documentation
Customer Contracts & Revenue
Review customer contracts for billing terms, pricing, and revenue implications
Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure accurate setup of:
Contracts
Billing schedules
Revenue recognition rules
Assist with revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606)
Track deferred revenue and support monthly revenue roll forwards
Billing & Order-to-Cash
Support customer billing, invoicing, and credits
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in partnership with Sales, Rev Ops, and Customer Success
Monitor AR-related activity and assist with reporting and reconciliations
Help maintain clean data between CRM, billing, and accounting systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key finance partner to Revenue Operations and Sales
Support deal review processes to ensure accounting and billing accuracy prior to booking
Help identify process gaps and recommend improvements across systems and workflows
Communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders on accounting and billing topics
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (public or industry)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience or exposure to month-end close
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly
Preferred

Experience with :
SaaS or subscription-based business models
Billing and revenue recognition
CRM and accounting systems (e.g., Salesforce, Net Suite, Quick Books, Stripe, Zuora, etc.)
Exposure to ASC 606
Interest in process improvement and systems automation
CPA or CPA-track a plus
