Pay/Pay Range: $22.00-$28.00 hourly

Summary:Performs precision TIG welding on metals like stainless steel and aluminum, following blueprints and work orders, inspecting welds for quality, maintaining equipment, and working safely in a metal fabrication shop environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment for precision welding of metals, including stainless steel and aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Prepare and align metal parts prior to welding to meet specifications.
- Perform high-quality welds according to company and industry standards.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance; perform touch-ups as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment and clean work areas to ensure a safe shop environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- 3+ years of Tig welding aluminum experience
- Ability to weld a thickness of .060'
- Understand and interpret prints
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
Work is performed in a metal fabrication shop with exposure to heat, sparks, welding fumes, and bright light. Loud noise from machinery and fabrication processes is common. Requires wearing protective gear (welding helmet, gloves, apron, etc.) at all times. Indoor industrial setting with areas that may be hot, dusty, or confined. Work may involve standing for long periods and moving around the shop floor.
PhysicalCapabilities:
Requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving metal parts, using hands and arms for welding and grinding, and bending, reaching, or crouching as needed to complete fabrication tasks safely.
