Materials Expeditor

The Material Expeditor compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts to production areas. This position requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment.

• Locating and distributing materials to specified production areas, manually or using handcart, hand truck, or forklift
• Examining material received, verifying parts numbers, checking discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts, and assembling material for kits
• Comparing Production Order specifications to material used at workstations to verify appropriate batch assignment
• Working with supervision and the Production Coordinator Manager to resolve problems with product flow through Inspection
• Fulfilling requests for materials and supporting materials audits
• Performing inventory transactions using business system
• Using component serialization/marking
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Assisting manufacturing and shipping personnel as needed to meet production and shipping schedules
• Working closely with other Operations departments
• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the Adva Med Code, Med Tech Code, and all other company policies
• Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
• Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift up to 80lbs
• Ability to use a pallet jack
• Familiarity with Windows & Microsoft Office suites
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with a high degree of organization and technical competence

• Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Required to possess specific vision abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
