This position is for a Maintenance Technician working in a distribution center environment. It's a full‑time day shift position with occasional evening coverage requirements. The role combines electrical maintenance with general facilities management responsibilities, offering a diverse set of daily tasks and challenges.

• Regular hours:
  Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (day shift)
• Compensation range: $33.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience

Building Maintenance and Repairs

• Handling minor electrical work (light bulb and fuse replacements)
• Performing basic carpentry tasks and pallet repairs
• Servicing and replacing plumbing fixtures
• Conducting painting and space refreshment projects
• Maintaining specialized equipment including:
  • Strappers
  • Zebra Printers
  • RF Units (both programming and maintenance)
  • Conveyors (preventative maintenance and repairs)
• General distribution center cleaning and maintenance

Grounds Maintenance

• Using hand tools and light landscape equipment
• Conducting perimeter inspections and trash removal
• Trimming branches from perimeter fence
• Performing snow and ice removal duties

Safety and Compliance

• Maintaining OSHA and LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) compliance
• Regular testing of building safety equipment:
  • Exit signs
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Fire pump systems
  • Eye wash stations
  • AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators)
• Assisting with monthly security testing
• Supporting weekly and monthly generator testing

Vendor Coordination

• Scheduling and coordinating vendor services
• Escorting vendors during site visits, including specialists in:
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing
  • Security
  • Canon Printer maintenance
  • Dock & Door services
  • Landscaping

Administrative Duties

• Completing Maintenance Connection work orders (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Maintaining preventive maintenance records
• Conducting monthly parts inventory
• Operating and inspecting power equipment
• Maintaining PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) batteries

Special Projects

• Setting up for special functions
• Installing banners and signs
• Working with specialized equipment (ladders, staging, lifts)

• Strict adherence to attendance policy
• Flexibility for evening and weekend work when needed
• Availability for emergency response during off‑hours

• Vocational/Technical training or 1-3 years of building maintenance experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Effective time management
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Microsoft Office knowledge

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$26.74 - $44.56
