TITLE: LTS Lower School Teacher Instructional Technology Specialist

• Certified or certifiable as an Instructional Technology Specialist by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
• Knowledge of productivity tools use such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, telecommunications, and print/graphic utilities
• Knowledge of selection, evaluation and use of appropriate computer/technology based materials to support the instruction process
• Knowledge of the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core of Learning
• Communication and inter-personal skills which would be required for user support and training, and interaction with teachers and other professional staff
• Demonstrated experience in Windows, OS, and Chrome operating systems, Google Apps for Education, and iOS devices

• Guide the classroom teachers in effective integration of technology into the Methuen Public Schools Curriculum
• Provide assistance with managing the 1:1 implementation for all grades at MHS
• Assist the school system in identifying, evaluating, and applying emerging technologies to enhance the teaching/learning process in the Methuen Public Schools
• Schedule the computer labs to help insure equitable use
• Monitor the maintenance needs of all computer equipment in the building
• Identify the hardware and software needs of the school
• Provide teachers with professional development in the integration of technology into the existing curriculum
• Provide staff with a variety of professional development opportunities, including workshops, embedded assistance, digital resources, and/or print resources
• Model demonstration lessons on the effective implementation of the Methuen Public Schools Technology Curriculum
• Maintain contact with the Director of Instructional Technology in order to help insure that the above is being done

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $274 to $274 Per Day
