Overview
Manager, Procurement Specialists at MKS Inc will partner with global business units (BUs), Supply Chain, Operations, and cross-functional teams to lead, align, and elevate procurement activities worldwide. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Procurement.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a global team of Procurement Specialists across multiple manufacturing sites and regions.
- Drive business unit collaboration by facilitating regular cross-functional meetings to address shortages, demand changes, and inventory health.
- Implement strategic procurement alignment with company objectives and materials plans, translating high-level goals into actionable plans for the team.
- Oversee supply continuity and risk mitigation, proactively identifying supply risks and guiding contingency planning.
- Champion process improvement and standardization, working with stakeholders to automate and enhance procurement processes.
- Guide supplier development and performance management, ensuring compliance and driving vendor improvement programs.
- Monitor and report key procurement metrics to senior management, providing data-driven recommendations.
- Travel requirements:
Up to 20% international travel is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of job-related work experience in procurement or supply chain management, including leading team projects.
- Experience managing procurement for manufacturing operations and driving cost reduction or supplier improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Oracle), advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with digital procurement dashboards.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills in a matrix organization.
- Strategic and analytical skills for supply chain data and KPI analysis.
- Experience working in a global environment or managing teams across multiple locations.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-functional efforts.
- Familiarity with Procurement Service Center processes.
- Experience with supplier development programs (Kanban, VMI/consignment, lead time reduction).
- Advanced problem-solving skills (e.g., shortage root-cause analysis, process mapping).
- Reporting Relationships:
Directly manages a global team located at various manufacturing sites. - Financial Responsibilities:
Accountable for procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier spend across regions.
Salary Pay Range: $109,750-$182,900 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on qualifications, experience, and business needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
