Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk on a contract basis in Methuen, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting essential accounting processes. Responsibilities:

- Accurately input and manage financial data in accounting systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

- Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, invoices, and vendor accounts to verify accuracy.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create, update, and maintain spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting.

- Assist in the preparation of financial documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

- Organize and maintain financial records and filing systems to ensure easy accessibility.

- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address discrepancies and respond to financial inquiries.

- Provide support during month-end closing processes by ensuring all financial data is correctly entered and reconciled.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations when recording data.

- Offer general administrative assistance to the finance team as needed.

Requirements

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field is ideal.

- Strong skills in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records.

- Strong communication abilities to interact with vendors and internal teams.

- Understanding of financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
